This Privacy Policy explains how Remanence Audio, LLC (“Remanence Audio”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with the website at remanenceaudio.com and the purchase of our software. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not sell your data, our website sets no cookies and runs no trackers, and our plug-ins run entirely offline.
We collect only what we need to sell you software and support you:
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising, analytics, or social-media trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracking on remanenceaudio.com. Our hosting and payment providers may use strictly necessary technical cookies within their own infrastructure to deliver and secure their services.
Our plug-ins, including IRON GLASS_, operate entirely offline. They do not transmit usage data, telemetry, audio content, or personal information to us or to anyone else. License activation, trial state, settings, and presets are stored locally on your own machine. No internet connection is required to install, activate, or use the software. This is covered in more detail in the End User License Agreement.
We use the information above to deliver your license and downloads, provide support, process and verify purchases, operate and secure the website, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job: our payment provider (to process purchases), our website host (to serve the site), our software-delivery host (to provide downloads), and our email provider (to answer you). We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We keep purchase, license, and support records for as long as needed to provide support and updates, honor your license, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete information we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@remanenceaudio.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
Our website and software are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We operate from the United States. If you use our website or buy our software from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so please check back periodically.
